Spending Our Way Home

Is it any wonder our country’s financial house is in such poor shape:
Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the House majority whip, said that trying to find greater savings in the budget, which was released by President Barack Obama this morning, wouldn’t help alleviate the recession.
“We’re not going to save our way out of this recession,” the majority whip added. “We’ve got to spend our way out of this recession, and I think most economists know that.”
Funny how when private industry spends money and loses it the solution is to raise taxes, hold hearings, and try to rein them in but when the government does the same thing… well… the answer is do more of the same.
We must refer to Mark Twain on this one:

It’s almost like they have no idea what’s going on…oh wait.
In Clyburn’s defense, he is legally retarded. Democrats will never consider that Keynesian economics is an absolute failure. And I doubt he has spoken to “most” economists.
