Isn’t that kind of similar to the Bush-era accusations of being “unpatriotic” if one didn’t support W’s policies? Doesn’t it also come from the same kind of people?

To be sure, if you look at the extremes of both sides there is a lot of insincerity and hypocrisy. Thing is, talking about having planes flown into buildings and thousands being murdered is a little different than healthcare reform. And you have the same Democrats who were “victims” of what you allege now doing the same thing to others so I’m not as sympathetic.
Harrison, people are being murdered in many places around the world in numbers considerably higher that during 9/11. Not too many of us seem to be discussing that at all.
The “victims” you mention were not only democrats, but also other people who had the brains and the guts not to bend over to the neocons.

Deaths in other parts of the world is a different topic and seems to me Democrats are using the same “tactics” and words that your hated neocons did. As I said my views are different when it comes to national security.
I think that we could probably agree on national security, if we had an informed, intelligent conversation about it.
The Bush years have probably reduced our actual security in myriad ways.

Hmmm hadn’t heard that about Bush unless you try and make the argument that in not making nice with terrorists we make them angry enough to go boom. But people said Reagan would push us to World War III but it didn’t happen.

You haven’t heard that about Bush, you say. How about getting us into two non-winable, elective, longest wars in our history? How about making us so hated that anything American has become a target of choice in too many parts of the world for too many people?

5 of the 6 bombings were carried out under William Jefferson Clinton, not George Walker Bush (the 6th was 95% planned under WJC’s time in office) didn’t you see the post?

You don’t think those 5 terrorist bombings required any “hatred” of the United States? So I guess that was a pre-existing condition when Bush took office?
Also, Afghanistan/Iraq were authorized by Congress so you can’t lay the entire thing on Bush either.
Also North Korea never signed a peace treaty so that is the longest non-winable war in US history.
All the ones not under Bush were carried out abroad, not in the U.S.
