A Worrying Note from the NRA
Firearms, Liberals — By Harrison on July 16, 2009 at 11:04 pmI wrote about this on June 1, 2009 and in case you’re interested you may read the article here.
It seems as though our “friends” in Sakramento, Kalifornia are really pushing this bill very hard. It will impact everybody who enjoys the freedoms we Americans enjoy with respect to firearms. I am an avid enthusiast myself (thank you for making me that way Liberals) and as a result I thought I would post this email I received from the NRA in its entirety.
Please do as your conscious dictates.
AB962 Scheduled to be Heard on Monday, July 20 in Sacramento
Please Contact the Senate Appropriations Committee Today!
Assembly Bill 962 has been scheduled to be considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee on Monday, July 20.
AB962, sponsored by Assembly Member Kevin De Leon (D-45), would make it a crime to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a “handgun ammunition vendor” in the Department of Justice’s database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. The bill would also require purchasers submit to fingerprinting, which would be kept in dealers’ records and subject to inspection by the Department of Justice. Lastly, mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited.
Please contact the members of the Senate Appropriations Committee TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose AB962. Contact information can be found below.

Hmmm…encroachment upon the 2nd Amendment cloaked in deceptive language. Thanks for the heads-up, Harrison, because if these stealth like attacks go unchecked we risk losing our 2nd Amendment rights altogether.
