Adolf Hitler, Jesus Christ, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama

How Democrats paint President Bush.
It seems as though when the Obama administration gets into PR trouble they pull out the Bush playbook as in “blame Bush.” We saw it after fanning the flames of the AIG bonuses got out-of-hand (it produced the populist reaction the Democrats sought until it became counter-productive) and we’re seeing it now to distract us from North Korea/Iran/Cap and Trade/Healthcare. The current distraction is about the wireless wiretapping under Bush (even though Obama might still be getting intel from it).
With Liberals we get into a subject, take “torture” for example. Republicans say it produced useful intelligence. Democrats say under “torture” people will say anything so it’s useless. Yet actionable intelligence was produced in the example of the attempt to blow up the Library Building in L.A. (there is no library there). So Democrats take a step back and switch gears saying: “Well we didn’t know.” Then we learn Nancy Pelosi knew. Democrats change their angle again and suggest the public is being lied to (so now the CIA is run by liars). When that doesn’t stick Pelosi goes into hibernation.
In an article I found at The Patriot Room The National Review has a different take:
“Had [President Bush's Warrantless Surveillance Program" been in place before the [9/11] attacks, hijackers Khalid Almidhar and Nawaf Alhazmi almost certainly would have been identified and located.” Another Friday night, another dump by the Obama administration of a report underscoring the vital importance of President Bush’s post-9/11 national security tactics.
The above quote about Midhar and Hazmi and is from Gen. Michael Hayden, the former CIA director who was director of the NSA when that agency ran Bush’s “Terrorist Surveillance Program.” It is a bombshell mentioned in passing on page 31 of the 38-page report filed by five executive branch inspectors general (from DOJ, DOD, CIA, NSA, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence) pursuant to Congress’s 2008 overhaul of FISA (the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act).
There are a couple of interesting things about this. The first thing that caught my eye was the “mentioned in passing” part. Since the report was produced by the Obama administration they wouldn’t want to readily admit what sane people already know: good intelligence saves lives and good intelligence techniques allow for good intelligence.
The report also has more interesting revelations:
When congressional Democrats rolled their eyes, suggested that Gonzales was lying, and groused that a special prosecutor should be appointed, they well knew he wasn’t lying — but they also knew he couldn’t discuss the intellligence activities at the center of the controversy because those activities were (and remain) highly classified.
Between the time the time the collection intelligence activities that came to be known as the “Terrorist Surveillance Program” was first authorized after the 9/11 attacks until the warrantless surveillance aspect of the program was exposed by the New York Times in December 2005, the Bush administration briefed the bipartisan leadership of the congressional intelligence committees 17 times about the activities involved in the program.

How Democrats see Obama.
These facts once again reinforce my belief, backed up by example after example, that Democrats are very willing to play politics with matters of national security to appease their Liberal supporters. It will be remembered that The New York Times exposed this vital and lifesaving program in 2005 gravely damaging the United States’ ability to learn what our enemies were up to.
For his entire time in office (and still to this day when Obama stumbles) Democrats blame Bush for raping the Constitution, ruining the world, wrecking the economy, and for the rising price of oil. When the facts are analyzed, however, it is almost always the Democrats who have tofu on their faces but, like Obama’s report it appears buried in the back pages.
It may take years, but eventually we will get to the point in time when Democrats can’t blame Bush for all of the world’s ills (though we may be a few generations away from this moment).
In a way, this report is a swipe at former President Bill Clinton and his virtually complete lack of interest in fighting al Qaeda even though Osama bin Laden declared war no fewer than three times against the United States.
But that is the subject for another time.

Hey Harrison,
I got to tell you I loved that picture of George Bush. In fact I almost fell off my chair laughing. You’re going to have a pretty hard time turning the Bush/Cheney “spy on the American people” and “lie to Congress about just about everything” debacles into a problem for the Democrats. The ends do not justify the means, and Cheney should indicted and dragged before Congress to explain why he broke the law. By the way, that is a good picture of Obama. I would look especially good on a twenty-dollar bill. What do you think?

I guess that’s where we differ. I’m not interested in using the facts to create a problem for the Democrats I’m interested in the U.S. and Americans staying safe.
And I think 6 months into office is a little premature to propose putting any president on the money but, then again, to many of Obama’s supporters it has never been about “results” it has been about image.
But perhaps you would care to comment on the actual facts presented in the article, which you seemed to have missed contradicting what you said.
Great post! Keeping America safe should merit some worth even in the most liberal eyes one would think.
Al´s last blog ..Shhh, “loose lips sink ships”
One would think that but sadly they would be wrong.
I’ve been saying for sometime now that the Bushes and
Clintons brought us to the edge of the cliff and Obama is here to push us right off of it. Bush had some good things going as far is security goes, but he was treating the symptoms only and not the actual disease. Any president that shouts out “Islam is a religion of peace” (as Bush did)is lighting the candle at both ends. We can’t have our cake and eat it too.. it either is, or it isn’t.. and that candle gets hot, deadly even.
Twenty dollar bill? I propose we put Obama’s image on the trillion dollar bill. We’ll have these soon, when his print-and-spend policies lead to massive inflation. Or maybe his visage can grace the global currency with which the Chinese and Russians want to replace the dollar.

What do u excpect? The man, Obama, and many who surround him do actively “hate” America. George Bush was just a foolish sell out, however, Obama is a wise man on a determined mission.
Either way, I guess it will take some huge calamity for the majority of “the people” to wake up and realize that no matter what they have “learned” in our liberal brain-washing institutes (schools)… real life screams out to us that we do in fact have enemies in this dreamy, global, peace loving, kumbya world of ours…inluding this cherry on top, Obama.
“Evil is called good and good is called evil.” Sound familiar?
Yes, the axis of evil is growing, one wonders if it is too late for nipping this evil in the buds (plural). hmmmm.
Wasn’t Adolf a tad smarter than W? Then again, who isn’t?

It’s that thinking that made America great.
LOL.. did I sense some sarcasm there? ;o)
So…I am married with an evil person since she’s a born Muslim?
Ouchhh…what a generalizations here and black/white talk: evil, our enemies, etc.
That brings no one no where…
But good to know that I live in an evil country surrounded by evil people and married with the wrong evil person.
I miss here as so often the nuance!

Hans´s last blog ..Day Opening – July 15
You are the one who made the connection between “Muslim” and “evil.” I never said it, never implied it…
Harrison, I think Hans’s comment may have been for me.
Hans, I’m sure your wife is just fine, afterall you married her, right? I just hope that your wife is going to one of them reform mosques. Although I am not sure how many American reformed mosques exist, these being the mosques that actually report (turn in) the radicals within their midst to the “American” law enforcement officials, and I emphasised “American” for a reason…
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2009/07/-cair-lawyer-if-approached-by-extremist-call-us-first-.html
Anyone who knows anything about the CAIR organization knows what it is up to, as the above link touches upon (below the video in text). If CAIR really ‘cared’ (pun intended) then they would NOT have been concerened about the under-cover FBI agents working in thier mosques, and refusing to cooperate with the authorities, in the first place. Of course CAIR’S paranoid behaviour took place before the FBI had to go so far as to actually ban their agents from meeting with CAIR due to CAIR’S connection to Hamas. And now CAIR suggests that we allow their Imams and lawyers filter out the radicals for us. Very funny indeed!
Ps… Hans, your Muslim wife is welcome in my country, in my own home even, as long as she is cooperative with those trying to help her. Does she side with the likes of CAIR or instead, does she have a freedom-based and democractic mind-set? A little gratefulness would be nice too, because in case you haven’t noticed America has been very generous and kind hearted in taking those in whom need to flee from their countries for a better way of life. However, as it stands now America’s kindness is being mistaken for stupidity & weakness.
Obama and the liberals can bring down america if the citizens sit and do nothing. Becoming a real COWARD and a DISGRACE to family and country. America don’t need COWARDS and DISGRACE and TRATIORS that would distroy america. Americans wake up and do what is required to save america and the constition. Have states rights and state soverighty to save this country. The Obama and his elect are a terriost government to overthrow the government of the US. There job is to distroy america and bring it down to defeat with slavery to all who is against them. If we fall, all will fall along with america. The faithful will fight for liberty to put government back in control the american way of truth and right. Support the 1st and 2nd amendment that has been incorporated to the 14th amend. Liberals want to make citizens a crimmial for buying ammo and a Hitler way of dictorship which is already in washington D.C. Stomayor is a Obama appointed anti-gun COWARD and much more than words can say, but you can add the words needed.

Marie…in what kind of world do you live?
So every muslim is going to a mosque? Are you nuts? My wife is ‘born’ muslim like so many others and never visited a mosque…and do you think she wears the hijab?
Ever been in Indonesia the largest muslim country on earth?
Thank you for the invitation but she lived already in the USA for 8 years, Miami Int University and Stanford, as her ‘muslim’ cousin who went to Princeton and MIT…and both have a green card…she can come and go whenever she wants.(Granted under Bush senior)
I write at least twice a week about Islamists and their scary influence…no need to read scare and fear mongering web sites as that link you put in your comment.
I have a big problem with Islamists and with the creepy ‘born again’ (what an euphanism) fundametalist christians. Religions must stay out politics.
Rob: it’s a disgrace for you as an American citizen that you cannot properly write in your mother tongue language. That’s a disgrace.
Cheers
Hans´s last blog ..Recruiting police officers in Mosques
Hans, if your wife ever wanted to join another religion it would qualify her for a fatwah, which you likely already know. But since she doesn’t go to the mosque anyways, perhaps nobody would find out even if she did leave Islam, lol. I agree, religion must stay out of politics which is why democracy and Islam will never mix… unless it is a watered down/reformed Islam. But then it technically could no longer be called Islam, but I wouldn’t argue if thats what the Muslims want to do with their religion, lol.
Ps.. scare and fear mongering websites? Lol, so let’s label the messenger because the truth is just too scarry and/or inconvenient. I never could make any sense out of this type of reasoning/logic, it’s backwards thinking and self-defeating.
Mary
You simple don’t know where you’re talking about.
According classic Islamists women can not marry a Christian…and see I am married to a Muslim born woman. My best Turkish Muslim friend is married to a Jewish woman…
You simple simplified, like that web site you refer to, on the same way many Islamıst simplify the muslim faith with all the horrible consequences. Turkey is secular and democratic.
You probably mess up Muslim with being Arab, who with their feodal system dominates the world view about being Muslim. And which country is America’ss best friend? Saudi Arabia…and the dictatorship of Egypt.
Most latin American countries, African countries which all are predominant Christian struggle with democracy as well. ıs this because of religion. Did de facto you ever travelled to South America, the Middle East or the Far East?
Indonesia, the largest Muslim country on earth is demcratic after 50 years of didctatorships aand 400 years of Dutch rulling.,
The country with most Muslims is India, which is democratic.
For your information: There is no moderate Islam but there are many moderated Muslims.
Christiany, is also full of horrible doctrines but because it went through an enlightment period (not in the USA – thats the reason why the USA was founded) its moderated now.
Cheers

Turkey is fighting of the Islamic fundamentalists. India as well. Indonesia? Here is some history..
http://islam-watch.org/HistoryOfJihad/Jihad-against-Malaysia-Indonesia-Thailand-Philippines.htm
You don’t get it, the world needs a moderate Islam, fundamental Islam is the problem, period.
And no Saudi Arabia and Egypt are not allies, they have their own agenda, especially now with Iran. Egypt is cooperating with Israel as we speak in allowing war ships with missles to pass through via the Iranian threat. The saudi’s are cooperating too, and once they fight their Shite ‘brothers’(Iran) they will attempt to finish dealing with the infidels. And don’t forget who is funding the radical’s mosques in America with the “down w/ America” literature, that would be Saudi Arabia, and the same literatue is found in the saudi mosques. I will stop here and leave you with this..
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/8917
“That first sentence was suppossed to read “Turkey is fighting ‘off’ the Islamic fundamentalists.”… And I will also add that it is not looking good.
Robert Spencer is behind some of these sites! And we know enough about Christian fundamentalist.
Ohhhhh……I don’t understand Turkey….sorry, I am a political commentar for the Turkish Daily for a long time. And Turkey is fighting with some ‘moderate Muslims’ as they say it here, not fundamentalist. Turkey nationakl drank is Raki…compare with Greek Ouzo or French Pasticheİ 40% alcohol.
I cannot deal with someone who thinks that she can understand the world from behind internet. Its obvlous for me that you never travelled.
Again: there is no moderate Islam (yet) there are moderate Muslims..a..Islam is not moderated, rather radical.
Bush Jr. ‘invented’ the word ‘moderate Islam’ not the Turks muslims who become infuriate every day since they are strict kemalist Muslims = being secular on a rigid way.
SA is aa key ally for the USA so is Kuwait and the UAE…saw all militairy bases over there. Iran not anymore since their is so much hate against the USA: first the CİA staged a coup in 1953 and then armed Iraq to start a war against Iran…
You’re selective in your answers….and I am not surprised since the world is divided between evil Muslims and good Americans (except all those who supports Obama…) A small world you are living in.
Cheers

I will say this one last time, the world “needs” a moderate Islam, fundamental islam is the problem. Why is it so hard for you to agree with this common sense?
I find it pretty ironic how you should say that it is a small world I am living in, because I think you are correct in that we are “all” living in a very small world and it keeps getting smaller.. and it appears to me that the people of the world need to pick a side..the fence sitters will be forced to wake up sooner or later.

Hans! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I was becoming very frustrated with many of the posts on this blog (as well as the original article), it is good to know that there are thinking individuals making attempts at objectivity (though impossible because we see everything through our own lens/framework). As an American (and being part of a hegemonic superpower), I feel that it is our “patriotic” duty to think outside of a judeo-christian, ethnocentric framework. For those who rely on fear-based talk-radio and media for their worldly understanding, they will always articulate global politics in terms of good v. evil (us v. them). A TRULY proud American that believes in the ideals that we supposedly stand for will look at the nature of the U.S.’s political transactions throughout our short history and realize that we have not been (may not be) the benevolent nation that we have presupposed. We have often shaped our foreign policy through the demands of private interests and war profiteering regardless of the interests or needs of the rest of the world or the marginalized groups within our own country. I challenge Americans to travel outside of our “bubble” and build the mental framework needed in order to see ourselves from a third-party perspective and incorporate that into moving closer to our lofty and often neglected ideals.
Oh and Marie, as an African-American and Jewish American, I have to say the Israeli media sources hold immense bias in my opinion. I would suggest trying to find information that does not immediately make you comfortable by reflecting what you already believe or are are comfortable accepting; try to find other perspective to compare and contrast. We as Americans need to stop claiming that somebody is anti-semitic when they question the U.S.’s relationship with Israel or the actions of the Israeli state. Israel has committed numerous acts of state-sponsored terrorism and I feel through their military and media, Israeli Jews are nationalized into being tools of the state (palestine has their own problems which help exacerbate violence, but due to the nature of our relationship with Israel we need to look at the policies that we sponsor as citizens through our complicit consent). In an ideal sense, this country going back to before the Pacificus-Helvidius letters, was built on dissent and debate. Let’s get away from the dichotous nature of our two-party system and step outside our comfort zones inorder to participate in meaningful discourse.
Jade, you said…
“Let’s get away from the dichotous nature of our two-party system and step outside our comfort zones inorder to participate in meaningful discourse.”
Your lack of understanding, like many others, does not comfort me, nor provide me a ‘comfort one.’ Try re-reading my posts and “think” next time. And don’t bother replying if you are still on the other side of the fence, my time is too precious and you sound way too much ‘out there.’ I don’t mean to insult you but I am just telling it like it is. If you can even admit that you need some help, you should try listening to the people who speak truth at http://www.IsraelNationalRadio.com and follow the news at Arutz Sheva for a while. And as far as America goes, I never said America was perfect (or Israel for that matter).. but I don’t feel the need to bow down to those who are much much worse, either. Many ‘Americans’ (note that as the people rather than government) relate to Israelis for reasons of shared goals, morals, values, and vision.
As well, you don’t have to worry about fixing Americans (or Israelis for that matter)– you should concentrate on fixing what ever other country, and people, it is that you support and would prefer to live in. I think a good place for you to start would be with Iran and the Iranian people who do need much help as they are being beaten and slaughtered by their ISLAMIC DICTATORSHIP/GOVERNEMENT.
One last thing, since you claim to be an American Jade…
